These are some examples of how our team demonstrated each of FLL's Core Values. The core values are important for having a great learning experience in the FLL program.
Discovery: We demonstrated Discovery a million different ways! We went to the library and we discovered that nonfiction books have numbers and fiction books have letters. We also discovered that volunteering at FLL competitions is tiring! We also discovered other ways to build attachments. We interviewed Mr. Andy. He gave us information about NASA. We also had a skype call with FLL Teams and NASA experts.
Innovation: Our project demonstrated innovation. Our project shows creativity, and we persisted to get it right, and our project helps the space community by fighting boredom while exercising. We also thought of ideas to help the space community. We created a new virtual reality world to demonstrate our idea.
Impact: We tested our project on the school community and the neighbourhood. For our project, we used what we learned to impact astronauts boredom while exercising. Our project affects mental health because the VR helps others see different landscapes of their home and of the Earth.
Inclusion: We demonstrated Inclusion by letting everybody share their ideas. We also divided and conquered. We let everybody do a part of our goal, and we accomplished our goal. We let everybody share what they wanted to work on, and we worked together on our ideas or we took turns on what we thought of doing.
Teamwork: We played cooperative games and team activities. We worked together to think of our project lines for our script and we used voting to decide what we were going to use. We worked together no matter what got picked during the vote.
Fun: We volunteered at an FLL Competition on December 1, 2018. It was so fun because we learned different things and we enjoyed it! We also love doing teamwork activities! It’s really fun! We love to build attachments for the robot, and we loved to build the robot! This is how we had fun in FLL!
